Unlocking the Workshop: A Guide to Enhancing Spino Town in Sand Land

The realm of gaming keeps evolving with creative ideas and captivating stories, and one of the newest titles drawing players in is Sand Land. Derived from the imagination of Akira Toriyama, renowned for his work on Dragon Ball, this new open-world action adventure offers an array of gameplay opportunities. One of the key aspects players will want to focus on early in their journey is enhancing their base of operations known as Spino Town. Among the most crucial upgrades available is the Workshop, which enables players to craft special materials conveniently on-site, eliminating the need to venture far for resource gathering. Here, we’ll guide you through the necessary steps to unlock this essential facility, exploring the tasks required and the benefits that follow.

Introduction to Spino Town and the Importance of Upgrades

Sand Land invites players into a vibrant landscape filled with adventure and discovery. As you delve into this immersive experience, establishing a home base is vital. Spino Town serves as your operational hub, providing a place to rest, gather resources, and upgrade equipment. The Workshop is a pivotal feature of this town, enabling players to forge materials needed for vehicle crafting and other enhancements. However, unlocking this Workshop is no small feat; it requires dedication and the completion of several before it can be accessed. In this chapter, we’ll outline the prerequisites and the specific quests you need to tackle before getting started on your workshop journey.

Initial Quests - Setting the Foundation

Sand Land

To embark on the path to unlocking the Workshop, players must first complete the “A Jump-bot?! Gimme!” quest, part of the main campaign. This quest serves as your introduction to the mechanics and layout of Spino Town. After you have navigated through the main campaign, you’ll need to tackle a series of foundational sidequests that are essential to progress.

Task From Mayor Tor

Your first task begins with a simple conversation with Mayor Tor, located in Spino itself. He will request some machine gun scrap, which can be obtained either by dismantling enemy vehicles or purchasing it from the junk market in Lisab. Once you've gathered the required scrap, return it to Mayor Tor to complete this essential introduction quest.

Desert Soldier

For your next quest, head slightly southwest to find a soldier named Mos, who is stationed inside a small building. He'll instruct you to clear out some Junkers located just outside. Once you’ve dealt with the enemy, Mos will express his gratitude and choose to move to Spino, contributing to the town’s growth.

Lost Peddler

Continuing south from Spino, you’ll encounter a peddler named Wusu, perched on a rocky outcrop and being harassed by a pack of raptors. Dispatch these creatures and speak with Wusu to learn about his plight. Afterward, you must report to Ades in the Spino store. Completing this quest also expands the shop’s inventory, providing access to more valuable items.

Suspicious Cave

The final task before unlocking the Workshop involves seeking out a hunter named Zeph, located south and west of Spino near a rocky area. Zeph will request your help in investigating a nearby cave. Utilize your tank to clear the entrance, enter the cave, and collect the “Geji Dragon Strategy Guide.” After retrieving the guide, bring it back to Zeph, and he, too, will relocate to Spino.

The Path to the Workshop - Tinkerer Siblings

With the foundational quests behind you, it’s time to focus on the main objective: unlocking the Workshop through the “Tinkerer Siblings” quest. Initiate this part of your journey by consulting Mayor Tor once more, who will guide you to the workshop north of Spino, where you will meet Stan. He will provide a quest to gather “Puraptor Scales,” critical for the Workshop.

Finding the Puraptor Scales

Your search for the Puraptor Scales takes you to a raptor nest concealed within a cave near the Aro Village Ruins. Follow the sidequest markers carefully until you reach your goal. Within the cave, engage with the raptors, particularly targeting the distinctively colored white ones, as they are your primary focus. After defeating them, collect the Puraptor Scales and make your way back to Stan in Talbo, where you will present the scales to him and his sister Ves.

Choosing the Right Sibling

Once you've returned with the scales, a significant choice arises: you can invite either Stan or Ves to relocate to Spino. The decision is entirely yours; each sibling brings their unique flair to the Workshop, but I personally found Ves to fit better with the atmosphere of Spino. Regardless of whom you choose, the Workshop is now ready for use, saving you from the burdens of traveling to distant towns for crafting materials.

Workshop Upgrades and Community Growth

With the Workshop successfully unlocked, your adventures in Spino Town become significantly more streamlined. This upgrade fosters a sense of community and collaboration, as the additional sidequests designed to enhance the Workshop, such as "Top Time Triumph," "AWOL Tinkerer," and "A Strange Request," can now be completed to further enhance its capabilities. Each of these quests allows you to expand the range of crafting options, making your crafting endeavors more diverse and enriching.

In conclusion, unlocking the Workshop in Spino Town is not only an essential step towards maximizing your crafting capabilities but also a pathway to enhancing your overall gaming experience in Sand Land. As players embark on this journey, they can relish the opportunity to customize their gameplay, craft unique items, and engage with the charming inhabitants of their new home base.
