As announced on Monday, the Android and iPhone versions of the Microsoft Outlook Mobile App have been upgraded with new attributes. These enhancements are part of the recent updates launched for both operating systems. Microsoft highlights that the iPhone application now boasts refined Compose and calendar capabilities, while the Android application sees improvements in event management, search functionalities, and calendar integration. Additionally, corrections for various bugs have been applied to both versions.

New additions to the Microsoft Outlook app for iOS include the insertion of a Report Message choice in the swipe actions menu. It now permits the operation of a local account within Office 365 Box, Microsoft's secure online file storage and sharing service. The Compose function has been refined, enabling resending emails from the Sent items. Plus, accessing the chat from Teams meetings directly through event details listed in the calendar is now possible.

The updated Outlook application for Android introduces enhanced event scheduling, search capabilities, and calendar and Box integration. Microsoft has extended the ability to search past events up to a year, an increase from the previous six-month limit. A new Teams tab facilitates the search for chat messages within Teams, and selecting a message opens it in the Teams mobile app. In the event that the Teams application isn't available, individuals have the option to acquire it from the Google Play Store. This update also aligns the Compose and event functionalities with those introduced for iOS and addresses a bug affecting the single sign-on process for Microsoft 365 accounts in certain instances.
